Ukrainian Delegation at AMPER 2025: A Gateway to Czech–Ukrainian Industrial Cooperation
From March 18 to 20, 2025, a Ukrainian delegation participated in AMPER 2025, one of Central Europe’s largest trade fairs for electrical engineering, energy, automation, and digital technologies.
This year’s exhibition brought together over 440 exhibitors from 25 countries and welcomed more than 26,000 visitors. For the first time, Ukraine was represented with such strength and coordination, thanks to the joint efforts of the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance (UCA) and the Czech-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce.
While this marks the seventh UCA-led delegation to the Czech Republic, it was the first explicitly focused on the energy and electrical engineering sectors. The delegation’s presence reflected Ukraine’s growing strategic interest in reconstruction-oriented industrial partnerships and highlighted its capacity to cooperate with European ecosystems.

Perspectives on Czech–Ukrainian Collaboration: Toward a Systematic Exchange
Regular participation in trade fairs remains the #1 tactic of B2B sales in any industry. However, regular exchanges between countries, especially in complex and high-tech B2B sectors, are crucial for building a more sustainable and mutually beneficial approach to international trade and business development. From this point of view, the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance targets the Czech Republic as a key destination in Central and Eastern Europe. That is why UCA opened its office in Brno in October 2024. The Czech Republic is a recognized industrial hub of Central Europe, with strong positions in automation, electrical engineering, and energy efficiency. Ukraine, undergoing massive industrial transformation and post-war rebuilding, is a natural partner for joint industrial innovation.
Thanks to Czech partners, UCA has brought 6 Ukrainian delegations to Brno and Prague since 2022. But this visit to AMPER was the first time for Energy and ElectroTechnical Industries. The regular participation of Ukrainian clusters in AMPER and other Czech industry events deepens mutual understanding and helps identify long-term cooperation formats.
Over the past three years, I’ve participated in five Ukrainian Cluster Alliance delegations to the Czech Republic. All of them were very useful and excellently organized. However, to be honest, we didn’t launch many joint projects. In my opinion, the main reason was the insufficient preparation of our delegates for these visits. This time, thanks to the work of our new office, the preparation was much more thorough — and the delegation participants were genuinely satisfied. The importance of the AMPER Forum for Ukraine is significant, especially considering the daily destruction of our energy infrastructure. We held numerous meetings with European electrical and electrotechnical equipment manufacturers, and it’s clear that our Czech colleagues are highly motivated to support us in rebuilding efforts. I believe this is an experience worth continuing. — Andrii Borodiuk
At AMPER, both sides discovered a strong interest in co-developing projects in digitalization, smart manufacturing, energy systems, and Rebuild Ukraine projects. The Ukrainian delegation was represented by 12 companies, including well-known Ukrainian innovators such as DTEK, IT Enterprise, a-Gnostic, Elektron, and Infocom. Throughout the visit, the delegation held more than 300 meetings.
Resuming, AMPER 2025 became a powerful catalyst for connecting Ukrainian clusters, companies, and institutions with Czech industrial ecosystems. This collaboration should be structured and continuous — moving beyond one-off visits toward cluster-based cooperation platforms and joint innovation initiatives.
Building Ecosystem Partnerships: A New Chapter with the Czech–Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce
Institutional support is key to successful internationalization. UCA tries to build a true partner ecosystem with Czech Industries and the market. Till now, UCA has established a close relationship with CCI Brno, CzechInno, National Clusters Association, Clusters Industry 4.0 (Brno), Cybersecurity and Aerospace, several EDIHs (European Digital Innovation Hubs), and other high-tech and innovative ecosystem partners. At AMPER, the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance (UCA) entered into 1st close collaboration with the Czech–Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, represented by President Michaela Macharik and Vice-President Marek Cupek. Thanks to their energy and excellent understanding of the Czech and Ukrainian markets, the exhibition was prepared efficiently and on time, and we received positive feedback from our delegates. As these partners have a long presence in Ukraine and know Ukrainian markets and businesses perfectly, this partnership is very promising for UCA. It brings tangible benefits to both business communities.
I’m sure this partnership creates a permanent interface between Czech and Ukrainian industries and will bring our relationship to a new level. The Chamber will facilitate matchmaking, project development, and policy advocacy, serving as a trusted platform for cross-border cooperation. It also supports the broader EU agenda of regional collaboration and innovation-based economic integration. – Alex Yurchak, CEO of UCA
Now, both partners plan new exchanges in 2025.

The Czech-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry & Commerce (CUCIC) reported on their LinkedIn page that they, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance (UCA) and with financial support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, organized the first Ukrainian pavilion at AMPER 2025 in Brno. This initiative provided 12 innovative Ukrainian companies from the electrical and energy sectors an opportunity to showcase their solutions in electrical engineering, energy, automation, communication systems, and smart cities. The participation, including stand construction, exhibition space, and side events, was fully supported by the MPO program, allowing Ukrainian exhibitors to participate free of charge. The Chamber expressed honor at the visit and support from the Embassy of Ukraine during the event.

The UCA Office in Brno: A Service Platform Supporting Ukraine’s Industrial Integration into Europe
The opening of the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance (UCA) Office in Brno was not only a symbolic step — it laid the foundation for a new level of quality cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union. The success of the Ukrainian delegation at AMPER 2024 confirmed this role. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the office and our partners — the Czech-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce — the event was prepared professionally, on time, and with a deep understanding of Ukrainian and Czech markets. As a result, the delegates highlighted the high level of organization and the practical value of their participation.
However, the role of the office goes far beyond accompanying individual missions. It functions as an operational service platform supporting Ukrainian companies within the European Union and performs a range of strategically important tasks:
A Platform for Cooperation in Reconstruction and Recovery Projects. Participation in AMPER 2024 demonstrated that Ukraine is in the focus of European attention. Most participants we engaged with expressed a strong interest in cooperation and emphasized the importance of the permanent presence of UCA in the Czech Republic as a key enabler for launching new collaboration formats.
Special attention is given to joint projects aimed at Ukraine’s recovery, particularly in energy, machinery, and medical equipment. In close coordination with Czech partners, the office helps facilitate initiatives that impact Ukraine’s economic and infrastructure resilience.
Our Brno office is an entry point, allowing Czech companies to connect quickly with Ukrainian partnerships and consortia. This coordination is already producing practical outcomes thanks to UCA’s extensive network — both inside Ukraine and internationally.
Identifying Opportunities for Joint Projects. One of the key tasks of the office is to identify potential areas for collaboration and to shape new joint projects in the Czech Republic, the EU, and Ukraine. Project development is a shared effort, and we will gladly welcome initiatives from our Czech partners. We have the resources, vision, and expertise to help bring these ideas to life.
We sincerely thank our partners — the Czech-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce — for supporting the Ukrainian delegation to AMPER. Thanks to this cooperation, we confidently look to the future, knowing that all our next steps to support Ukrainian- Czech business relations will be effective and result-oriented.
